We decided to purchase (more like adopt) two brothers from Woodlot Companions back in March. I traveled up from Florida to their beautiful home in Ohio to pick up the boys. Merlin and Gladys were amazing and super helpful with information, tips and recommendations. They provided all the health records and shared them with my local vet down in Florida. A visit with my vet upon return to Florida proved the pups were in excellent health. Needless to say, the pups are doing amazing. Very healthy and happy pups with the most wonderful personalities and dispositions. Thank you Merlin and Gladys for helping me add to my family.

When we first started looking for our English cream golden retriever, Sylver,we had done a lot of web browsing and Woodlot Companions got our attention immediately. The website itself is nothing but first rate with a vast amount of information about the history of the breeder and the easiness of looking at the different breeds of dogs they raise. Along with their delightful and expert customer relations with their clients in our opinion they definitely stand above the rest of breeders The number one reason was the communication aspect. Any time we had a question, they were right there for us. We never had to wait days on end to get a response. The day we picked up Sylver, we got to meet Gladys and Merlin and they were awesome! They are very down to earth people and you can tell right away the love and care they have for their animals. We traveled from Pittsburgh to Millersburg, Ohio about 2.5 hours to pick up our Sylver and we’ve had nothing but joy and happiness with our newest member of the family.

Gladys was just the BEST she was professional and caring for all the puppies. She went about and beyond and always answered our question and email with extreme knowledge of the puppy and send video and update on the veterinarian visit. Thank you so much Gladys!!!

We never had a dog before and with two kids in college and my youngest still at home, we contemplated getting a puppy…and then because of COVID we knew we could be home to put in the time to care for and train a puppy. We researched English Cream Golden Retrievers and found Woodlot Companions! I called, and without even leaving a message, Gladys called me right back! I told her we were interested in Lilah (previously Layla) and proceeded to ask her a million questions because this was all so new to us. She was so incredibly patient answering every single text/email…and even with all the puppies she had to care for, she took the time to respond to my request to take/send me updated videos of Lilah. When we finally met Gladys and Merlin in person, we witnessed what calm, patient and professional people they are….and I knew that Lilah had benefitted from it. In fact, her very first day home she was able to learn to “sit” and to go into her crate on command! This was after me – a first time dog owner – training her for a short period of time!? The next day, she could also lay down, stay, and come to me on command! She was so naturally motivated / LOVED “training”, yet also had the absolute sweetest, calm disposition. By 10 weeks she could sleep through the night, and at 13 weeks started using “bells” to let us know when she needed to “potty” throughout the day. We all talk about how lucky we were to get such a good dog, but in all honesty we know that the environment that Lilah was bred and raised in is what made her the calm, trainable, friendly puppy she is today….and one that stops people all the time to remark on how beautiful she is and what gorgeous coloring she has. I highly recommend Woodlot Companions, they breed truly amazing dogs and are an absolute pleasure to work with! (The pic of her is on her second day home, in her proud “sit” position 🙂

We had such a wonderful experience with this sweet family. They were in constant communication with us during the final weeks leading up to us picking up our beautiful puppy. Our English Cream Golden, Hawk, is 6 months old now and he’s absolutely wonderful. We can’t imagine life without him.

We got our Goberian from Woodlot Companians in 2020, and we could not be any happier with our pup. She is so sweet, calm, fun and playful. We have young children, and she does so well with them. We were able to visit the puppies when they were four weeks old, and they were all very clean and healthy. We are so grateful to have such a great dog. Would definitely recommend this breeder to friends and family

We got our beautiful pomsky boy, Togo, from Gladys and we could not be happier. He is adorable and he is just what our Sky needed to keep her company. I highly recommend Woodlot Companions!!

Gladys and Merlin were very kind and helpful when answering questions about the puppies! We brought home Stryker now known as Bear. He is from the June 5th litter of Mini Golden doodles. He is a wonderful addition to our family. He is very playful and loving, and his coat is soft as can be! He is very playful and loving. He came home in excellent health, our vet was very pleased with his health at his first exam. He is growing leaps and bounds. He loves to be loved! Thank you so much for our little Bear!

Our amazing pup is now a year old today and she was the best decision my fiancé and I decided on. Formerly known as Tallie, now Vixen, quickly became part of our family. We researched to find a 1st generation Pomsky which we found with Woodlot Companions. They were so helpful and informative with the weeks and days leading up to picking our little Vix up, even video and photo updates! We definitely recommend them if you are trying to find a healthy and loving pet to become your family. We will even use them in the future when we decide to expand with another pup!

Our experience with Woodlot Companions was exceptional. We were looking to welcome our first puppy into our home and had done hours upon hours of research on what breed we were looking for. When we decided on a Pomsky, the real search began to find a breeder that genuinely put the animals first. We looked into quite a few that were quite apparently “puppy mills” & quite honestly were ready to table the idea of getting a puppy much to our young son’s disappointment. I was determined and gave it one more try. That’s when we came across Balto. I did the research & from what I was reading, Woodlot appeared to be just the breeders we were looking for. I immediately messaged them and they replied very quickly, she even jumped on a quick call at 8:30 at night to discuss what they were about and address a couple questions. She then made time for us to come the following day and even agreed to hold him for 24 hours so we could meet him before we made our decision and put down the deposit. We went and met him the next day & absolutely fell in love. We were very close to putting a deposit on 2 puppies as a matter of fact! After putting down the deposit, the breeders were amazing at sending video updates of Balto playing outside and with his brothers and sisters. We looked forward to getting them. After we brought him home, he was having some digestive issues. Again, Woodlot was VERY responsive and gave me many solutions to help the issue. It has since been resolved & they even followed up later to ask if everything was good. We hope they stay around for years to come so we have the chance to purchase from them again. I have always wanted a puppy and when I found a mini Bernedoodle from Woodlots Companions, I fell in love instantly and knew that this pup was the one. I was quite nervous as I have never raised a puppy by myself before, especially during this unpredictable time. When I reached out to Woodlots Companions, they could not have been nicer and responded so quickly. They answered all my crazy new mommy questions and made me feel very comfortable taking home a new pup. The process was seamless and given my schedule, it was very helpful that my new pup was driven directly to my home. Taking new pup, Murphy, home was the best decision I have made and I am so thankful for Woodlots Companions for their support and sending me home with a great pup!

2 months ago we brought home sweet Aria, a beautiful English cream golden retriever. Aria is such a good pup, she is smart and a fast learner. She immediately adjusted to her crate, was able to follow some basic commands after just a few days, and after about one month hardly had any potty accidents at home. She’s friendly and loving, has a good temperament, and she brought so much joy to our lives! Woodlot companions were wonderful! Gladys was so helpful from the first contact. We are first timers and Gladys walked me through the process and answered every question. She welcomed a visit and showed me other pups and the parents. All the dogs seemed happy and healthy and very well taken care of! Gladys even followed up a couple of times just to ask how the adjustment is going and how was the vet visit. Overall, we had a great experience with Woodlot and I highly recommend them if you’re looking for a great and healthy pup. We can’t thank you enough for our sweet Aria.

We got Pepper (Khloe) back in February. Nine months and a newborn baby later, she’s the best puppy we could ever ask for. She’s got the best disposition, sweetest personality and she’s such a fast learner. Everywhere we go, we are constantly getting questions or compliments on her. Gladys kept in constant contact with us, answering questions, sending videos and she was so pleasant to work with. We highly recommend Woodlot companions, we know the pups are treated with a whole lot of love before going to their forever homes. The next pomsky we get will definitely be from them again.

We had such a great experience with woodlot companions! Our English Cream has been the perfect addition to our family! The process was smooth, with weekly updates, pictures, and videos. Any time I contacted the breeders, I received a prompt response. Millie (Biscuit) was ready to go December 3rd, but the breeders kept her an additional 3 weeks so that we could surprise our kids Christmas morning. What a magical holiday!!
