Honestly, don’t do reviews much. But since we got our family’s new best friend late May 2025 she has changed our lives. Woodlot breeds amazing pups and produces exactly as described! Our Ellie “Flossie” is more than we had hoped for! The Breeder description nailed her to the Tee and we knew she was for us! The best decision this mama has ever made! Now just peeking for a lil sis for our “bossy” amazed at how intelligent, loyal, cuddly….all the best traits in a dog anyone could want are in our tiny adorable pup!! And my allergies… they’re just fine!!! Amper P

We adopted a beautiful little girl puppy 2 weeks ago, and we couldn’t be more pleased. We were having a hard time deciding which pup to choose and they suggested we speak with their behaviorist. Kim called us and asked about our other dog, our cat, our lifestyle and why we had chosen a Golden retriever. She made a few suggestions and described the puppy she was recommending, Libby, and why she felt this would be a good fit. She was spot on. Libby, now named Serenity, is exactly the right puppy for us. Our vet even said you could tell she was a quality pup from a good breeder. They were patient and kind throughout the entire process. Raising healthy, happy, socialized puppies takes time, care, commitment and financial investment. I cannot say enough about how much the Troyer family exceeded my expectations when I went to pick out not one, but two gorgeous, happy, social, healthy pups. I was so impressed by the facilities, enrichment toys and cleanliness, however I was even more impressed with the knowledge, care and commitment the Troyer family exhibited during my visit. Sept. 2022 my husband jumped in the car and said ” I am going to get you a puppy!” We had just lost our dog Murphy after being together 16 years so I was not ready for another pet. He said, “I will go by myself if you don’t want to go!” Well, I couldn’t let him drive 150 miles by himself because he had health issues. So we took off to Zanesville and the puppy he wanted to see was already adopted. On the trip home I found Woodlot Companions thru internet search! I called and spoke with Gladys and she was kind enough to squeeze us into her booked schedule. Long story short we ended up with Murphy 2.0. a darling super smart, friendly minigoldendoodle. He wasn’t quite ready to leave the litter so we returned home to prepare for 2.0. I am attaching a puc of the day we discovered him and today as he is now 2 yrs 8mos old. Today, it is just me and Murphy together forever. He is a wonderful companion. Woodlots is a remarkable breeder and Gladys Ray and Merlin where a true blessing for our little family. BJ Grace

I first spoke to Gladys (owner) and then Kimberly (dog trainer and temperament expert)! – these Great first conversations led me through the process of learning about their available puppy’s and breeding business and Online education. Thank you! Welcoming Sheri and Corey, wtith Furry Trails tansport ground delivery business!! You’re a great team! Delivery delivery 24/7 pm EST better understand which can be via flight or ground delivery to yoor door. I opted for study material and speaking with them.Kimberly then made it more streamlined. By creating a wonderful collaboration service as an independent service provider to ensure the potential buyer gets the right dog for their family and home environment. Structure is the key and I had to introduce my 2 year old dog to the puppy which has lessens the burden after talking again Consummate Kimberly was a joy to speak with as she’s the consummate professional in understanding the challenges and family needs versus choosing the right dog. It was easy for me to choose once she described the temperaments and personalities! Thank goodness she’s there because they are all gorgeous, and let’s not underestimate most important matching is matching up breeds so it’s a comfortable choice and decision to make. After researching many breeders of English Cream Retrievers, I chose Woodlot Companions. My experience from first inquiries to the day my husband and I picked up our new puppy was seamless. I was able to choose the puppy based on a personality assessment, video, and pictures. Our puppy, Bowie, loves to cuddle. He plays with our golden, Ziggy, and then snuggles up to him for a nap. We had a great experience with Gladys and Woodlot Companions. There was a litter of ECGR and BMD due within a week of each other. My husband and I couldn’t decide which breed we wanted. Gladys was very patient with our “going back and forth” until we made our final decision. We decided on the BMD which is a new breed experience for us. ( Keri and Winston’s litter) Reluctantly, we were choosing sight unseen. We were set on a male but after learning their personalities, we chose sweet girl Willa. (That was her given name and we kept it.) She passed her first AKC training with flying colors. Everywhere we go people say how beautiful she is. She’s a handful, as big puppies are. But a good girl with a big personality. Gladys also arranged to have Willa transported to us in PA. If you’re hesitant about this as I was, don’t be! It was a great experience as well. We will be back for our ECGR when we feel the time is right. Judy

Our sweet Mini Bernedoodle from Woodlot Companions is one year old today. Our experience with Gladys and her charming son, Merlin, was seamless and trouble-free. The children and I picked our English Cream Golden Retriever pup as a Christmas gift for my husband but wanted to wait for a spring litter. Woodlot Companions could not have made the process easier or have been more communicative. We were in contact throughout the wait for a litter birth that would work for us and they were incredibly gracious about answering any questions that we had. They kept us apprised with photos of the babies and videos. We worked with their very knowledgeable trainer to find the right fit for our active family. And it all went like clockwork, we got exactly the puppy we were hoping for! We picked up our pup Yaz (Laker) in late April and what an absolute delight it was to finally meet him. The meeting room was spotless and filled with toys and the owners were very generous with their time in letting us get to know him and make him comfortable with us before we left for a 13-hour drive away from the only home and family he had ever had known. From the very first minute, he has been a wonderful addition to our home! Our vet is very impressed with his health and his lineage is impeccable. Yaz (Laker) is such a sweetheart and totally gorgeous. We could not be more pleased with our experience with Woodlot and are hoping to return for a second companion pup in a year or so. Everywhere we take him, he is comfortable with people and other dogs, very inquisitive and so so smart. He is conquering every training hurdle with ease and is eager to learn more every day. Woodlot was great! I did a lot of research for our first Bernadoodle purchase and they were a wealth of knowledge! Their trainer gave me an in depth view of her opinion of Ruby and her disposition was exactly what she described. There were 2 other dogs at the airport (from other breeders) when we picked her up and their crates were nasty/stinky with shredded news paper, ours was good quality with food and water and a puppy pad, to me it’s the little things and attention to detail that make all the difference! Ruby’s a great puppy and I’m sure will be a great addition to our family! Jim
